This year, I'm very excited to try my hand at mentoring one YA writer and help with their submission package to agents (first three chapters, synopsis and cover letter).
What can I offer?
I'm a published author (my YA debut OH MY GODS came out in January 2019 with Scholastic UK) and I'm currently working on my second novel. I've been writing seriously for the past five years, and I've been part of a writing critique group for the same length of time. I hope I can offer support and constructive feedback for writers on their own journey to publication.
What am I looking for?
YA fiction in the following genres: Contemporary, Historical, Romance, Humour/Funny, Horror, Paranormal, Magical Realism and Time Travel.
I love books that feature funny girls, friendship, family and cringe-worthy moments. And I'd really love to mentor black and mixed-race women writers in particular.
